SERVING SONOMA SINCE 2009

Come Hungry. Leave Happy.

For nearly two decades, our family has been cooking in this little corner of Sonoma.

Picazo Café has never been about being fancy. It's about good food, generous portions, bold flavors and making people feel at home.

We're the place for an early coffee and a house-baked pastry. The place for chilaquiles and bottomless mimosas. The place for a Picazo Burger and a cold beer. And the place where nobody thinks twice when you order breakfast in the middle of the afternoon.

Over the years, we've welcomed Sonoma locals, Wine Country visitors, workers on their way to the job, families with kids and plenty of people who simply happened to drive by.

Some of our customers have been coming long enough that we've watched their families grow.

Through all the years and changes, that's what we want Picazo to feel like:

Your neighborhood café.
Good food. Good people. No pretension.

The Food

BREAKFAST. BRUNCH. LUNCH.
AND EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN.

Trying to put Picazo into one culinary category has always been difficult. So we stopped trying. Our menu reflects our family, our community and the things we love to eat. Mexican flavors live alongside American comfort food, brunch classics, big salads, rice bowls, burgers, fried chicken and whatever else inspires us. It's eclectic. It's full of flavor. And it doesn't take itself too seriously.

Call it whatever you'd like. We just call it Picazo.

Signature Since Day One The Picazo Burger — double patty with melted cheddar, grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, pickles and Picazo Sauce
The Picazo Burger

The One That Started a Reputation.

Somewhere along the way, the Picazo Burger became the thing people started telling their friends about.

A great beef patty. Cheddar. Grilled onions. Lettuce. Tomato. Pickles. Mayo. And the Picazo Sauce that brings the whole thing together.

Nothing overly complicated. Just a really, really good burger.

It has been one of our signatures for years — and judging by what our customers keep telling us, we probably shouldn't mess with it.

Breakfast, All Day, Really A plate of Picazo's chilaquiles topped with a fried egg, sliced avocado and cherry tomatoes, served with black beans and chorizo
Chilaquiles

One of the Reasons People Keep Coming Back.

Breakfast may be served all day at Picazo, but there's one dish that deserves a little extra attention.

Our chilaquiles.

Bold, comforting, saucy and full of the kind of flavor our kitchen has become known for.

Breakfast at 7AM. Brunch at 11. Chilaquiles at 2PM. We don't make the rules. Actually, we do. And breakfast is served all day.

Meant For Brunch. Or Lunch. Flan French Toast dusted with powdered sugar and topped with blueberries and strawberries
Flan French Toast

Yes, We Turned Flan Into French Toast.

Our Flan French Toast is exactly the kind of dish that explains Picazo.

Familiar enough to recognize. Different enough to remember.

Rich, indulgent and unapologetically meant for brunch. Or lunch.

Remember — breakfast all day.

Lunch Gets Serious, Too A colorful Picazo Rice Bowl with cucumber, pickled onion and bold sauce drizzle
Picazo Rice Bowls

Fresh, Loaded, and Quickly a Favorite.

Breakfast gets plenty of attention around here, but don't sleep on lunch.

Our Picazo Rice Bowls have quickly become some of our most popular dishes, loaded with fresh ingredients and the bold sauces and flavors our kitchen is known for.

Messy. On Purpose. Señor Crispy fried chicken sandwich with slaw, pickles and sweet chili bacon aioli, served with fries
Señor Crispy

Our Fried Chicken Sandwich.

Crispy chicken. Slaw. Pickles. Sweet chili bacon aioli.

Messy in exactly the right way.

Add the Picazo Burger, salads, sandwiches and rotating favorites, and there are plenty of reasons to show up hungry.

Baked Here. Every Morning.

SWEET. SAVORY.
GRAB ONE BEFORE THEY'RE GONE.

The ovens are going early at Picazo.

Every morning you'll find a changing selection of house-baked pastries — some sweet, some savory, all designed to go particularly well with a cup of coffee.

Grab one for the road. Stay and have another. Just come early.

The favorites don't always make it to lunch.

Don Chava Coffee

COFFEE WITH A FAMILY STORY.

Coffee has always been part of the rhythm of Picazo.

That eventually led us to create Don Chava Coffee, named for the patriarch of our family.

From a simple morning cup to lattes, cappuccinos, mochas, espresso and our Mexican-inspired coffee drinks, Don Chava is what keeps the café moving from the minute we open.

Good coffee. Made for everyday drinking. Just like Don Chava likes it.

Weekends (and every day)

BRUNCH SHOULD BE FUN.

Great brunch doesn't need to be complicated.

Order the chilaquiles. Split the Flan French Toast. Get the pancakes. Try the Benedict. Add a coffee.

And when the occasion calls for it...

BOTTOMLESS MIMOSAS.

We'll keep them coming.

Some Good Things Started Here

SOME GOOD THINGS STARTED HERE.

Picazo has always been more than a restaurant kitchen. It's our test kitchen. It's where recipes get tweaked, sauces get passed around, somebody says "try this," and occasionally something becomes too good to keep inside the restaurant. Over the years, Picazo has been home to the creation of products that eventually took on lives of their own.

SalEd

Our dressing and sauce line, including our Cilantro Chimichurri — a sauce that has become almost as recognizable around here as the burger itself.

Soy Macha

Our take on salsa macha. Deep. Savory. Spicy. Crunchy. And made to put on just about everything.

Don Chava Coffee

Born from our family's love of coffee and the morning ritual that has always been part of Picazo Café.

These weren't dreamed up in some product-development meeting.

THEY CAME OUT OF OUR KITCHEN.

What Our Customers Say

DON'T TAKE OUR WORD FOR IT.

Year after year, the greatest compliment Picazo receives is seeing familiar faces walk back through the door. Our customers have described Picazo as a neighborhood favorite, a hidden gem, homey, friendly and unpretentious. And they've said some pretty nice things about our food, too.

We've been fortunate to receive years of great reviews, recommendations and word-of-mouth from the people who actually matter most to us: the people who eat here.

That's the reputation we care about. Not being the fanciest restaurant in Sonoma. Being the place you want to come back to.

The Picazo Family

FAMILY OWNED. FAMILY RUN.
SONOMA GROWN.

Picazo Café is a family restaurant in the truest sense.

Our family has cooked here, worked here, grown up here and welcomed thousands of people through these doors since 2009.

Our customers have become friends. Employees have become family. Kids who once came in with their parents now walk through the door a whole lot taller.

Restaurants change. Menus change. Life changes.

But what we want you to feel when you walk into Picazo hasn't:

WELCOME.

Grab a table. Order something delicious. Stay awhile.

Grab a Picazo Burger and a cold beer for lunch. Order a rice bowl and tell yourself you're being responsible. Or order French toast at 2PM.

We're not here to judge.
